The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed concerning the superior variety of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] website is to reach-out to a substantial range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This really is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area every day. The assistance point developed for intervention ordeals a high influx of likely beneficiaries, that makes it difficult to the Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional means to allow the servicing of all consumers and raise usage of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
